ok, ive been looking around to see if this has been done.... havent found anything, soo, here it goes. as for a project idea, was wondering if it was possible to strap a supercharger off another car onto lets say a civic....... altho there would be some work needed to get it to fit and placement and all that, and than theres the if the pulley spins the same direction on the motor as the supercharger.....but seeing as its not directly into the intake of the head, have the supercharger(wherever placement found) running ooff the crank... than having tubing from the supercharger to the intake manifold..... has anybdoy ever seen something like this done?
any links? sites? any ideas?

what you do is build a manifold to sit the supercharger on. and mount it inline so that the pully meets up with an accessorie belt.. of course the manifold you build with have its own runners to the ports on the head...

Yes, definatly possibly.
You will have to consider volume vs. pressure. For example a vortec centrifugal blower meant for a 5.0 might generate 10 psi of positive manifold pressure at 5000 rpm compressor speed on a 5 litre engine, however that pressure will be much higher at the same compressor rpm for a smaller engine of say 2 litres displacement.
As an aside, the type you've shown is a roots type, and personally I think centrifugal is the way to go. Roots type often sit in the valley of a V shaped engine, and in some cases are an integral part of the intake manifold.
A centrifugal blower of a smaller size may be easier to install as its placement would be more flexible. Most companies should document compessor performace and give volume ratings in CFM's - you will determine your boost level via drive ratio at the pulley.

Also of note, try to find one that spins the right way, eh?
It's definitely do-able, just need to find the right supercharger.
Yes otherwise you might have a super-sucker, which may be of more value anyways.

For the money, I'd rather just pay hookers.

okay so its doable.... now for something like that... if it did spin the right way, how does a wastgate or so work, or a bov... i dont understand superchargers like this.

Dude, remind me to bring in a book for you next time you're in. It's really good, breaks all this shit down ezpz.

Don't waste your time, it will cost you 5 times the grief as just fitting a turbo, and you won't be happy with the results.

retro fit supercharger on an ugly ass car locally.

Don't the 626/millenia/probe all share the same drivetrain? If not I'd imagine they'd be similar and one of the mazda models comes with a blower on it. Ford ferrari what.

The supercharged Millenia from the mid 90s was a V6 2.3L, that probe is a 4 cylinder. It's custom for sure, not a transplant.
Can't put the millenia miller cycle into anything else without way more trouble that it is worth (it spins the wrong way).

A blow-off valve is not needed as ther supercharger is directly connected to the crankshaft. As soon as you take your foot off the gas, the engine winds down as does the supercharger.
A wastegate is not needed as boost developed by a supercharger is a linear relation to rpm. Boost delevoped by a turbo charger is an exponential progression, which has the potential to get out of hand. A waste gate of sorts would be an interesting idea as a fail safe, in case you decide to swap pulleys in search of sooner boost and cross your limit then in high rpm situations.
Some superchargers have plates on springs which are meant to pop-up in pressure surge situations, but I think the idea here is to save the compressor blades should there be a back-fire.

sorry to thread jack. anyone know if that supercoupe eaton blower will work on a 4.0 v6 in an 05 mustang? thats hella cheap for a blower kit.

possibly look at the ss cobalt kits? thats a blown 4banger,it might be doable?
