A freind of mine is looking at getting one of these and asked me if I heard anything about them. I still run the stock headunits in the focus and subaru, so i'm not one to know....

Told him I'd ask around, but seems like its to good to be true at that price. Have any of you had experience with these? Any good?

what do you mean? Do they stop working after short period of time? Cant see while driving? Touch screen doesnt work?
its more that the resolution is really grainy, plus the touch sensitivity is normally terrible too

Yeah, I wouldn't waste money on that. Don't cheap out on I.C.E., you'll regret it in the long run.

The motors that make the screen flip down are susceptible to going out on the best of decks - I would give something like this 2 months, if it worked at all.

Get him to check out mp3playerstore.com http://www.mp3playerstore.com/
They're located in Montreal and have pretty good customer service. They also offer a lot of similar products like your friend is looking at.

Thats a cool site...I know where Im getting my father in law's GPS unit now.
Thanks!
I bought a pioneer AVIC unit with NAV for my subby. Its a little slow starting up and such, but I really love it. The phone feature works really well with bluetooth...I got the ipod connector hooked up, that takes a little while to load also, but for $600, I cant complain. I now have everything in one unit, which is nice. I was getting sick of charging my bluetooth mirror and fiddling around with my garmin on the windshield...

Awesome Nav/Headunit. I've got the AVIC-F900BT in the FIT and the AVIC-F90BT in the 'Lude. Both work very well.
Do you have any problems with the bluetooth when 'auto-connect' is on? My 900BT reboots at least 3 times after connecting to my phone with that feature on. Drives me nuts.

None yet...it has to update the VR for my ipod 1st, which takes almost a minute, then it connects my phone...but once its connected, it stays connected.
I just got an email saying their was a patch to install to improve boot up times, so I'll have to find an SD card to download that file...That's really my only complaint; long to boot up.
