    Default 2011 Kia Magentis pics

The Koreans are cleaning up nicely. This car looks pretty decent.

I like the look of it, but not the rims. Would I buy one? Hell no. It's a Kia.

Most cars are ripoffs of another car, get your heads out of your asses.

I would consider one. However I've had two family members that owned Kias, one within the past 4 years. Both were virtual death traps that saw 5-15+ returns to the dealer for warranty.

I understand a few recalls are to be expected with some cars, but these were nasty items like brake components seriously failing after 3k use, etc.

Thats not true. Hyundai owns 49% of Kia. They use some similar parts but they aren't the same. Otherwise you'd be able to get Hyundai warranty at a Kia dealership...somewhat like Chevrolet/Pontiac.

They use similar parts but they are not identical.

Nowhere near as half as bad as hyundai/kia/daewoo and chinese companies do. They are basically nice counterfeits. Deep down I hope they are just doing it for sales until they can come up with their own style and build a real car company.

There are companies who invest into R&D and concepts, and then there are companies who copy what works. Kia and hyundai are very good at copying on what works, and because of the lack of R&D, they can offer a bit more for the same price. But that's only good for them as long as there are things to copy off of. Same concept as dell/acer computers, and for everything else in the world.

None the less, that car looks sexy, just as one of the other korean cars that sort of looks like a lancer... I think it's fairly sexy as well. I wouldn't buy one.
