Default 2013 Hyundai Genesis Spied With Veloster Nose

Hyundai has already promised a “more dramatic” design for the 2013 Genesis Coupe and now we have a strong idea what that means. Spied recently in South Korea, the 2013 model looks to take its design cues from the Veloster – for better or worse.

Hyundai Motor America CEO John Krafcik has also ready said that the Coupe’s mid-cycle update will be a bigger change than what we saw on the sedan. He also indicated that if Hyundai is to stay a design leader, it will need to continue to innovate and offer models that are “aspirational… not a step back.”

When it is unveiled at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, look for the 2013 Genesis Coupe to sport a more powerful base 2.0-liter turbocharged -cylinder with 274-hp, while the V6 will be bumped up to at least 333-hp. A rumored 5.0-liter V8 model has yet to be confirmed.

If the design flows well, they look nice.

Case in point, Chrysler's new wrap around LED's GHEY!!!!

Funny how everyone bangs on hyundai. Moms elantra 290,000 km on it. Ive done the brakes twice now on it. One power steering line rusted out. Other then that nothing on the car has broken. our last accent had 240,000 Km on it and we did the brakes twice on it and the alernator went. Guy at works elantra 260k on it brakes and bad alternator. Yeah such pieces of shit if you ask me.

People need to get off the Pony band wagon. Hyundai has stepped there game up. Sadly im honda lover at heart but honda is getting shiter and hyundai is pulling by them with there car line ups.

Go drive a new sonata with the 2.0 turbo motor. Or for that mater go drive a genesis coupe gt V6 i bet you will change your opions real quick. Im hoping the 5.0 420hp 378ft lb motor comes out in the coupe ill buy that in a heart beat.

I hear ya. I am a longtime Honda fanboi, I have been working on them for a living for 15 years now. But.......I did some driving work for Hyundai Canada in the winter......the new Elantra and Sonata had me impressed. Honda better start stepping up it's game.....and quick.

All they did was copy the segment leader here. And 5 years after the fact. Don't encourage them.
