Thanks!
The one in the first few pics is the National Archives building in Gatineau, adjacent the Nature Conservation site. Security is actually pretty cool in letting you take pics there as well.

Nice, thanks. So you have the fwd 6 speed manual model? The exhaust manifold is quite the design.

yes. apparently the automatic skyactiv transmission gets even better mileage, but I'd have to see it to believe it. I still have a hard time believing I get at least 850kms a tank. Even my old Honda FIT wouldn't get anywhere near that, and it was a way smaller car with a smaller engine and even less power/torque.

Having less power and torque, isn't always mean better fuel mileage...
Smaller power numbers mean that the motor will work harder to move the weight..

I guess that was Mazda's approach to it. Their turbo diesel model should be coming to Canada soon as well.

Nice car and mazda ftw! I keep hearing good reviews about the skyactive drivetrain... how do you like it? Good fuel economy as promised?

Better than good IMO. The 6spd manual is inspired by the MX-5 Miata's tranny, and feels very close to it to be honest, nice and short throws. Slap in a few urethane bushings in there and it feels even better.

I wish my shifter felt that good

Even though I could barely fit in the car, I have to admit that the MX-5's have amazing shifters, so tight and crips compared to my Subaru, and I have every poly shifter bushing possible.
Very nice car. I like the wheel setup too.
