Again, its a stage 1 tune.

Here Ill do it for you.

http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...&highlight=ECU $300 and keep your ECU.

    http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...&highlight=ECU $225

OR pay a tuner to do the SAME thing for $500.

If you goto where Bastard went you have one hell of a drive ahead of you... Plus you need a S4 with min $10k of upgrades first.

Well unless he can drive into the past he's not going to have any luck. Vast Performance is no more.

Anyways mr. crazy.... cookie cutter tune on the stock turbo, throw some sort of downpipe/exhaust on it, and if you are lucky find a used drop in sidemount intercooler upgrade... thats all the power upgrades you can really do for the stock turbo, but you can also drop in an eliminator turbo, and get our local eurodyne expert here to set you up with a basic tune.

Dont ignore the suspension, and at a minimum do the poly inserts on the lower torque damper (AKA dogbone mount) that will cut down the wheelhop.

Another thought, transmission: Vr6 clutch + g60 flywheel or some sort of equivalent... And there are a few differential upgrades out there as well.. If you are going to make big power the stock diff needs a bolt kit at a minimum but for the work its worth putting in a limited slip like a quaiffe or wavetrac, might still be some peloquins available too.

hmmm. been awhile since i though about markIV mods... I basically had everything i mentioned. It was not too shabby but i never really got a decent tune on the thing. My old setup with a unitronic chip in my buddies car turned out pretty good though.

I wouldn goto tapp, hes a douche lol, hell say "i dont hve the time to tune, buy my softwre for 800 and diy"

Ever since eurodyne took off hes been a recluse, sitting in his office on the phone, i tried to bring my s4 stage 3 tere for a tune and. Even though i sold him his a4 and gave him alot of business he still said "i dont do that, buy my software and do it yourself"

I had my A4 reflashed at Tapp no problem. As for the Eliminator turbos you can say they are just as good as a "real" gt28/30.... But fact is they are not. They do make decent power with a good tune, but I found spoolup pretty poor in comparison.

Ya the car drove well. Turbo spooled. Front shock need to be hanged ASAP. Lowered on eiback springs with a very mild drop. Oil change was just done and took a look at the timing belt and it looked pretty new. What poly using kit is best for these? What a out suspension. There's a decent coilover set up? All my knowledge is honda I know nothing of this euro stuff

I always dealt with Autoxtrem in Gatineau when I had my mk4 jetta, awesome guys to deal with and true VW enthusiasts, they built a 700whp golf a few years ago.

Again your wrong, because your comparing an off the shelf tune to a custom one. They can spool identical to a standard t25 frame when you set up the PID maps properly with custom software.

Ok. I'll just agree with you for fun. A T3 flanged gt28 or 30 will perform identically to an eliminator setup... always.

    Friends?
I have run one, and sam has run one and done extensive tuning with his own.

Your personal opinion < our actual experience

    Oh wait! It is.

I haven't tuned one. I'm not saying anything about that as I know Sam has tuned his setup.

As far as suspension goes the sky is the limit with VW, there is so many options.

I had the FK AK coilovers on my jetta first, then replaced with raceland coilovers (going under a different name these days)

Both of those are budget setups, they both handled well but the FK AK setup was a nicer ride

Personally I ran the genII eliminator. Probably one of the worst ones out there (and the first) It was nothing but an OTS gt28R with an adapter plate and a terrible downpipe. And I did not have any issues spooling it. That kit made about 280whp.

Sam ran the newer version that was a complete new cast hot side designed for the stock manifold and downpipe position, and you already know what his did. I dont know what your experience is as you didnt state it. But since your opinion is in conflict with two real life experiences with a couple of different applications, I can only assume its based in incomplete or false information.
