Default Most Powerful Lamborghini Ever Built - Unveiled Last week in Montreal

Not a bad little machine. Nice to see unveilings in Montreal.

Last Thursday, Montreal saw the unveiling of the all-new 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster at John Scotti Lamborghini in the city’s East end. The convertible one of the fastest Lamborghini sports cars ever built.

The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster shares the same 691 horsepower internals with the coupe, which means it has a top speed of nearly 350 km / h and a 0-100 km / h in just three seconds. The 6.5 L V12 engine of 6.5 of the LP700-4 also produces 509 pound-feet of torque and sends its power to all four wheels through a manual robotic 7-speed gearbox. However what has been a little unusual is the emphasis they’ve put on energy efficient efficiency in the new roadster. Lamborghini representatives spoke of technologies such as cylinder deactivation and a start-stop system reduces fuel consumption by 5% compared to the coupe.

The roof of the Lamborghini LP700-4 is composed of two composite panels that weigh 6 pounds each, making them easy to remove and reinstall - as demonstrated by the John Scotti staff at the event. Without the roof, the Aventador loses 37% of the torsional strength relative to the coupe; with the panels installed, she still loses 31% compared to the coupe. The convertible LP700-4 weighs only 50 pounds more in total than the hardtop coupe.
How much will cost you to get this Italian convertible? The price of the 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is $485,000.
