Default Is it ok to buy a V6 Mustang?

Any Mustang V6 owner will probably attest to constantly being asked why he didn't opt for the GT model. Even if the Mustang V6 has plenty of horsepower and is plenty fast while being less expensive to operate, the natural inclination of many car enthusiasts is to ask the question anyways. Why is this? Is it to shame the owner for not ponying (pun intended) up the dough to get the "real deal"? In our circles does this mean it's simply not ok to buy a V6 Mustang?

This is why the Vette is the only true muscle car on the roads today. They don't need a V6 model to help them sell.

Some will say the Viper is in that "muscle" category too, but it's a V10.

I'd make an exception for a Grand National or GNX.

The thread title read GT but should have read V6. Fixed.

Yes I hated the previous v6's but the latest ones are actually not bad. 300 plus ponies and pretty good gas mileage, of course the cheaper price helps. the coming I4's would sell just on the fact there will be insane aftermarket support for them and hitting 400 at the wheels would not be that hard.

ok so it has horsepower but doesnt sound right for the class of car it in. V-8's have a amazing sound they should make ecoboost v8 then that would be pretty alright
